To extend the life of your Big Agnes tent floor, we recommend using a Big Agnes footprint or ground cloth. The Big Agnes footprint also enables you to pitch a lightweight, Fast Fly shelter while leaving the tent body behind. The Fast Fly configuration requires the footprint, tent fly, poles and stakes.

-Nice as is specific to the UL2
-A slightly more durable material would be better but weight is the primary consideration when going light so this is acceptable.
-The only complaint is it seems a bit overly expensive.

Truly ULTRAlight
A foot print is just a footprint? Not really, this one is sized just right for my tent, weighs almost nothing, comes with a stuff sack (which can be left at home). But most importantly it is very easy to use with or without the tent body and it protects the floor of an expensive tent.
The best part is that when you pack your tent it is clean, with the footprint, shake it vigorously to get rid of debri from the ground, fold dirty side in to keep left over debri away from the tent. Then at home it is easy to dry and put away pristine for the next trip.
