Special Ops / Delta Team tested and approved, the Inertia X Frame "Recon" (Coyote / Sand color) is every soldiers best friend that needs good sleep, but also needs to lighten the load, make space for more magazines, stay warm, rapid set up / take down, ulta durable, and wants to rest well to perform well and stay well tuned for the mission. At 11.1 ounces the multiple award winning Inertia X Frame is the world's lightest, most compact, and most advanced full length camping pad available. Designed with body mapping research, it gives you support and comfort in all the key pressure zones, while eliminating unnecessary material to reduce weight and pack size. Ideal for 3 season use when used by itself, the Inertia X Frame rolls up to the size of a soda can, and takes only a few breaths to inflate. However, it still offers the adjustable comfort through the use of a dry air pump, which allows you to reach higher pressures than ordinary mouth-inflate pads. The cut out regions of the pad not only reduce the pad's bulk and weight, but is the basis for Klymit's patent pending loft pocket technology. Loft pockets allow the insulation on the bottom of sleeping bags to maintain loft and warmth beneath your body, where it would normally be compacted and useless, while promoting breathability. Built with ripstop 30d top and coated 75d bottom, the Inertia X Frame is also one of the toughest pads on the market with a burst pressure of over 10 psi.
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Light weight comfort.
Good for light weight packing, best for sleeping on your back. Fits a 6ft man well, shorter people may not fit.

Different, and I like it!
I bought this solely for the purpose of saving space in my bag, compared to lugging around a giant awkward foam pad. Not quite as small as a soda can, but not much bigger either. I've used it camping, backpacking, mountaineering, bicycle touring, and on military training missions (combined total around 50-75 nights). It is quick and easy to inflate, easy to pack, has never leaked or had any other issues. Now, I do wake up fairly often either off of the pad (if it is outside the sleeping bag) or with the pad on top of me (if it is inside the sleeping bag), so it's a bit tough to get it to stay put, but it is definitely worth this minor inconvenience. The various tubes and contours allow you to shift around until you find a comfortable position, unlike common flat pads where you just get what you get. It also allows you to work around that pesky rock or acorn that you missed when setting up your tent, a much better solution than cutting a hole in your foam pad!
Bottom line - a...
More comfortable than I expected
I used the X Frame on my recent hike of Katahdin and the 100-Mile Wilderness. I was very pleased with the X-Frame's performance. It packs small, is light weight and suprisingly comfortable. I used it inside my sleeping bag rather than under it. I found it more comfortable and much easier to use than my self-inflating pad. My only complaint, which for me is a minor one, is that my feet seemed to slip off the end of the pad a lot; but again this was not a big deal. If you need a super lightweight sleeping pad, this is a good one.
